Italian white breads with a chewy texture. Ciabattas trace their origins to Verona, Italy, when an Italian baker created them in 1982, as a response to the rising popularity of the French baguette.
Breads under our 'Specialty' category are those made with a little extra flair and creativity, usually different in shape, flavor, and size than the traditional ones on the market.
Monge products are made with a secret mix, exclusively custom made for Eric Kayser's unique products. "Monge" is the name of a street in Paris, where Maison Eric Kayser was first established in 1996.
